Rates Control Team

My principal place of residence is in the Waihou General Constituency area.

As a local third-generation dairy farmer, it’s been my honor to serve as your voice as a Waihou councillor for the last three years. I am seeking re-election, as I believe in accountability, transparent decision-making, and delivering real value for the community. I advocate for returning council surpluses back to rate payers, not into feel-good vanity projects. It's time to reform how our council operates, especially with $16.9 million annually spent on consultants. Prioritising the cost-effective services of public transport, flood protection drainage, and environmental management. Furthermore, it shouldn’t cost up to $2.68 in overheads to manage $1 of council spending. This is not sustainable. As a local, I am passionate about democratic decision-making. I also believe in our communities preserving vibrancy and prosperity for the region. I stand for keeping communities strong with cost-effective services and rates under control.
