We have identified nine key aspects for assessment:

  • Population, household, labour force and land use
  • Macro economic indicators
  • Business vibrancy
  • Sector performance
  • Workforce diversity
  • Māori economy

The comparative dashboards include analytical visuals against each of these aspects to track our performance. You can compare our regional performance over time with other regions and with the territorial authorities in the Waikato region International comparisons have been enabled by incorporating a database visual using data from small, advanced economies similar to New Zealand

Data from the year 2000 has been used in most of the criteria, and whenever data are available the SA2 level assessment is also enabled.
