Subcommittee responsibilities

This Subcommittee is responsible for (when required or desirable):

hearing and considering submissions in accordance with the requirements of the relevant sections of the Land Transport Management Act 2003 (LTMA) and the Land Transport Rule Setting of Speed Limits 2022 (Rule); and
making recommendations to the Regional Transport Committee; pertaining to the:
- Regional Land Transport Plan (section 18 of the LTMA);
- the Regional Public Transport Plan (section 125 of the LTMA); and
- the Regional Speed Management Plan (clause 3.9 of the Rule);
pursuant to sections 82, 83, 87 and 89 of the Local Government Act 2002 (as applied by the LTMA and the Rule).
